Steps

  1. Navigate to console.cloud.google.com and sign in with your company Google account email address and password. This should take you to the main Google Cloud dashboard (See image below).
  2. Open the "Select a project" dropdown in the top left corner of the screen and navigate to the relevant project. You should be redirected to the main navigational page for the project.
  3. On the main dashboard, head into "Billing".
  4. If there is an existing billing account already set up for your Google Cloud account, select "Link a Billing Account" and connect the relevant billing account. Otherwise, please select "Manage Billing Accounts" then "Add Billing Account".
  5. Within the "Account Information" page, please select "Australia" as the country and hit "Agree & Continue".
  6. Within the billing fields, please fill in your business name and details of your payment method. Click "Start Free" once you have finished this.
  7. Click the Google Cloud logo in the top left corner to navigate to the Welcome screen.
  8. In the Welcome page, please hit "Activate Full account" to ensure that the maps are kept running after the trial process. Your credits from the free trial will be transferred over to the full account. If there is no "Activate Full Account" button on the main dashboard or Welcome screen, please navigate to the three lines in the top left hand corner and hover over "Billing" then click "Overview". Scroll down to "Activate Full Account" on the right hand side.
