Steps

  1. Navigate to console.cloud.google.com and sign in with your company Google account email address and password. This should take you to the main Google Cloud dashboard (See image below).Image Placeholder
  2. Click the "Select a project" dropdown
  3. Hit "New Project" in the top right corner to create a new Google Cloud project. This new project will hold the API key for Google Maps or the ReCaptcha key for your website.
  4. Change the "Project name" field to your business name and hit "create".
  5. A modal should appear asking if you would like to enable billing on the project. Please select "Enable billing account". This should take you to the following page:Image Placeholder
  6. Please select "Australia" as the country and hit "Agree & Continue".
  7. Within the billing fields, please fill in your business name and details of your payment method. Click "Start Free" once you have finished this.
  8. An optional modal should appear with questions to customise your experience on the platform. We recommend filling in all four questions accordingly and then select "Done". If you would prefer not to complete this, please feel free to close out of the modal.
  9. Click the Google Cloud logo in the top left corner to navigate to the Welcome screen.
  10. In the Welcome page, please hit "Activate Full account" to ensure that the maps are kept running after the trial process. Your credits from the free trial will be transferred over to the full account. If there is no "Activate Full Account" button on the main dashboard or Welcome screen, please navigate to the three lines in the top left hand corner and hover over "Billing" then click "Overview".
